- Summarize the IR threats, main IR signature sources, and available stealth technology;
- Model the ship in ShipIR/NTCS and predict signature for various environmental and ship operational scenarios, and observation points;
- Recommend application of stealth technology to ship, including: insulation, paint, exhaust suppression, and hull cooling systems;
- Establish balanced IR signature requirements, and design specs to meet signature requirements;
- Update the ShipIR model as the design evolves.
