The Mi-17 Film Cooled Tailpipe (Mi-17 FCT) redirects the exhaust gas to the aft of the aircraft via a bent ejector. An integral film cooled turning vane provides an optical block of the ejector hot metal from aft of the aircraft while an aerodynamic fairing obscures the view from the front. The Mi-17 FCT is flight qualified and in operation.
