Davis Engineering's Ottawa facility places it in close proximity to the R&D facilities of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and their Institute for Aerospace Research (IAR). We have made use of many of the the NRC's test facilities for the purpose of product development. We have made extensive use of the NRC's Structures, Materials & Propulsion Laboratory (SMPL) for structural vibration testing and qualification of our products to military vibration and shock standards. We have utilized the gas turbine engine testing facilities of the SMPL's Aeropropulsion Laboratory for testing our aerospace IR devices directly on their corresponding gas turbine engines. We have used the helicopters of the NRC's Flight Research Lab (FRL) for test flying our Centre Body Tailpipe (CBT) and Film Cooled Tailpipe (FCT) aerospace IR suppression devices.
